Bacus Ui Bhaoill was founded in 1984 by John Boyle at his original family home in the stunning Gaeltacht of Fintown,Co Donegal.
John Boyle started his career as a bread sales van driver and soon discovered a gap in the market for quality baked confectionery. Over the past 28 years he has built the business from a 100 units per week to over 10,000. Today the company employs 21 people and its products can be found all over Ireland.
Due to a recent extension and procurement of new lines, the bakery can produce over 60 different products, the majority of which are delicately hand made and decorated.
All fresh ingredients are sourced locally and the water is supplied by the bakery’s own private spring.
